Seeker (2022) was commissioned by Warsaw Autumn and Adam Mickiewicz Institute. It is for large orchestra and 12 channel electronics. The work was premiered by NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra, conducted by the amazing Vimbayi Kaziboni, at the 65th Warsaw Autumn Festival finale concert in the Warsaw Philharmonic hall.
Here is my program note for the festival: "It is undeniable that the pandemic has had a deep impact on how we experience the world; how we think, see, and hear; what our focus is able to take in and what it chooses to keep out; what emotions and thought processes our brain chooses to experience, and which it chooses to reject. What I listened to, thought about, read, and wrote completely shifted for a large period of 2020 and 2021, and this shift continues to ripple through my perception. Seeker is an attempt to portray this shifted state of consciousness through sound."
